Ser Galladon seems to be a take on Sir Galahad, one of the knights of the round table from the Arthurian legend. Brienne I, AFfC 4Īnd thus we are introduced to Ser Galladon of Morne, a knight with an enchanted blade, whose name Brienne speaks in the same breath as Florian the Fool (though we don’t know much about save for his romance with Jonquil) and Prince Aemon the Dragonknight. Each man bore a famous sword, and surely Oathkeeper belonged in their company, even if she herself did not. When she was small, her nurse had filled her ears with tales of valor, regaling her with the noble exploits of Ser Galladon of Morne, Florian the Fool, Prince Aemon the Dragonknight, and other champions. ![]()
